Be the Leader You Needed

I want to share a short post I wrote a little over a year ago about being the leader you needed:

Whenever you start anything new, there’s normally a feeling of uncertainty. When I first started my career, I often felt unsure of my abilities, and I didn’t always know who to turn to for guidance.

Looking back, I realize some of what I needed most was a leader who believed in me and had the ability to be honest with me. Thankfully, I found that early. Who are you striving to be? We should all put an emphasis on what it looks like to lift others up. Be the leader you needed: Encourage, inspire, motivate, reassure, and help others see their potential. It’s one of the most powerful ways to make a lasting impact.

In leadership and in life I believe there are some instances that we search when the answer can be simple.

What do you need?

What type of person do you want to follow?

So, today’s focus is simple but a reminder: Be the leader you needed.

There are plenty of days you’ll need additional tools and trainings to tackle what’s coming but let’s just keep it simple and powerful.

At the end of the day, leadership isn’t about titles or authority—it’s about impact. Be the leader you once needed: the one who listens, believes, and brings out the best in others.

As always, I am wishing you the best.
